Why the vacuum test matters

Plenty of quick installers still purge lines with refrigerant instead of pulling a vacuum. It looks fine on day one — then moisture in the lines slowly corrodes the compressor from inside. Every CoreKit installation gets a vacuum pull-down to below 500 microns, held and verified, before the service valves open. It adds half an hour to the job and years to your unit.
